At the same time, they note that “his removal from the Parliamentary group cannot be a decision made in the heat of the moment nor a communication maneuver to overcome the pressure of the moment. If so, it should be reconsidered.”
“In any case, if his deletion from the Parliamentary Group is not immediately accompanied by his removal from the leadership bodies and his referral to the Party’s Ethics Committee, it will make us absolutely untrustworthy in public opinion. The president has to make difficult decisions. But he has to decide. Whoever steps on two boats, usually falls into the water”, they conclude.
SYRIZA: What was decided about the conference
It is noted that during today’s meeting of the Central Organizing Committee of the Conference (COES), which unanimously approved the “roadmap” to the Congress, both the president of SYRIZA, Stefanos Kasselakis, and Pavlos Polakis, who although deleted from the parliamentary group, but remains a member of the party and its governing bodies.
It is recalled that during yesterday’s meeting of the parliamentary group of the official opposition party, the issue of the removal of the MP from Chania allegedly divided the MPs, as a part of them expressed their reservations about the handling of the case of Pavlos Polakis.
