Kais Saied talks about the situation in Tunisia and confirms the existence of “betrayals and falling into the arms of Zionism”

President Kais Saied addressed the Tunisian people on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of Republic Day, in which he renewed his pledge to further sacrifice and giving so that the country remains free, independent and impregnable, with no sovereignty except for the Tunisian people alone, according to his expression.

Tunisian President Kais Saied said in this context: “We thank God Almighty that not a single drop of blood was shed, as planned by those who were hoping to blow up the country from within, with the exception of the victims of the terrorist operations that our armed military and security forces confronted with iron and fire, and thwarted dozens of plans that they were working to implement.”

He spoke about “the dismantling of networks that were organized within a number of state institutions and disrupted the normal functioning of their institutions, and the deliberate cutting off of water and electricity and the refusal to provide the simplest services to those in the administration,” adding: “Unfortunately, many say, ‘Go to the President of the Republic, even to obtain a birth certificate.’”

He also recalled the systematic disruption of a number of projects despite the availability of funds allocated to them, in addition to “betrayals, falling into the arms of Zionism, and involvement in Masonic lodges in Tunisia,” according to his confirmation, adding: “I know what I am saying.” Reiterating “full support for the Palestinian people until they reclaim all of Palestine and establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.”

He added: “In addition to this difficult and delicate situation and in the face of these major challenges, those who swore to serve the nation and pledged to carry out their responsibilities did not do so, but rather to the minimum required. It happened on many occasions that I intervened from here day and night to ask a regional official to pick up the waste or open a post office or other matters that the official who threw himself into the arms of the lobbies should have handled himself. Rather, what is worse and more serious is that a number of officials in the regions and even at the national level did not bother to travel to a number of deanships even once. In fact, one of them was unaware of the existence of the deanship that I visited on one occasion.”

The Tunisian president concluded his speech by saying: “What we are experiencing today is an unprecedented situation between a new political system and a system that has not been completely dismantled. How many times when I was talking to a number of officials, I remember Al-Tayeb Al-Mutanabbi, and I am not Al-Mutanabbi, but I remember his saying that I am a stranger like Salih in Thamud, a stranger among those who were entrusted and betrayed, a stranger to this system that has recently reshaped itself and conspired, but I am not a stranger among my people, and let everyone know that the next phase will not be managed by a legitimacy that the people have overthrown. We are building a new republic and there is no place in it for thieves, traitors, or agents. The Tunisian people want to determine their own destiny. No one who betrayed it has lived in Tunisia, and no one who is not one of its soldiers has lived.”
