ELECTRONIC musician Ben Bohmer and Swedish singer Lykke Li have collaborated on the single Hiding, taken from Boehmer’s upcoming album Bloom, which will be released on September 27, 2024 via Ninja Tune.
The soft pads and sweet melodies of Bohmer blend perfectly with Lykke Li’s vocals in a mix of indie, pop and electronic music.
“This song is a song I’ve always wanted to write,” Bohmer said of his new track.
Hiding is proof that Bohmer’s music is not meant to be pigeonholed. Lykke Li’s presence on the song is also a form of support for Bohmer from Lykke Li’s music scene.

For Lykke Li, Hiding was written in a particular time.
“I wrote this song years ago in the heatwave during lockdown. Years later the voice notes I made for it came to Ben Bohmer and it took on a different shape and grew into something unique. Thank you to Ben for bringing this song to life and releasing it into the world,” said Lykke Li.
The single Hiding marks Li’s first original collaboration since 2019, following a string of collaborations with the likes of Drake, U2, Skrillex and Mark Ronson, who called her a “priestess of heartbreak and sadness”.
