French Actor Alain Delon’s Firearm Case Closed Due to Vulnerability as 72 Weapons Seized

Last February, 72 weapons, most of which were held without authorization, were discovered at the home of Alain Delon in Douchy. The Montargis public prosecutor’s office has ultimately decided not to pursue this case, due to the actor’s state of “vulnerability.”

One less worry for the actor and his family. In a statement released this Friday afternoon, the Montargis Prosecutor’s Office announced the dismissal of the procedure concerning the weapons discovered at the star’s home on February 22, 2024. Among the 72 seized were seven Category A weapons, the possession of which is prohibited for individuals, and fifty-seven Category B weapons, which require prefectural authorization.

“The questioning of Alain Delon’s children and his employees highlighted that these firearms were used by various family members for leisure purposes, in the shooting range of the property,” stated the prosecutor, Jean-Cédric Gaux.

It appears that the actor “had never declared these weapons to the prefecture or requested authorization for their possession.”

The weapons will be destroyed

Nevertheless, the investigation concluded that “the use of these weapons in the context of previous judicial investigations was excluded.”

Ultimately, the Justice decided not to burden the actor, who, being too weakened, “could not be heard given his vulnerability.”
“By decision of this day,” the statement concluded, “the procedure has therefore been classified as closed and the destruction of all firearms and ammunition has been ordered.”

While the Delon clan still struggles to resolve its conflicts, his children occasionally send updates about the patriarch. On June 16, his daughter Anouchka shared old photos of the Samurai on the occasion of Father’s Day. “Happy Father’s Day my king,” she concluded on Instagram before signing off with “your queen.”
