Final sprint for the Olympic flame. Rap legend Snoop Dogg will be among the last bearers on Friday, July 26, in Saint-Denis.
The flame is about to arrive safely. For this last part of the Olympic relay scheduled for Friday, July 26 in Saint-Denis, several artists and celebrities are expected, including rapper MC Solaar, actress Laetitia Casta, comedian Booder, journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi and pole vaulter Sergueï Bubka.
Against all expectations, American rapper Snoop Dogg will also be one of the bearers on this last day. According to The ParisianBradley Cooper was also reportedly approached, but ultimately declined the offer. The final torchbearer is still unknown.
A quick trip to the 9-3 before returning to Paris
The city’s mayor, Mathieu Hanotin (Socialist Party), rejoiced to AFP that it crosses its territory for this last symbolic date: “The fact that[‘elle] spends the last day in Saint-Denis, just before joining the opening ceremony, it is a signal on the place of Seine-Saint-Denis in the Olympic dynamic.”
The flame will travel through several key locations: the Stade de France, the Olympic Village, the Olympic Aquatic Center (CAO), and up to the forecourt of the basilica. However, it will not remain in the 93, as it is expected in Paris, at the Jardin des Tuileries, for the opening ceremony.
