Happy to set foot for the first time on Salmantine soil, actress, writer, and director, originally from Argentina and naturalized Mexican, Verónica Langer, appeared at the Centro de las Artes de Guanajuato to read aloud a poetic collection by Carmen Alardín.
“I really enjoy reading aloud, especially poetry, which is the twin sister of song; reading is more pleasurable when shared,” began the leading actress Verónica Langer.
Before a large audience, the artist “inaugurated” the return of the 2024 reading sessions at the Centro de las Artes de Guanajuato, aimed at further promoting reading.
Verónica Langer, who has just written a book “La larvas,” expressed her excitement about being in such a large and beautiful cultural center, although she acknowledged the lack of attendees at these types of events, due to the fact that new generations are more inclined towards technology and have sidelined flipping through a book.
“We are together to enjoy this moment, to enjoy the word, so I invite those present or anyone who wishes to come alongside me and read a poem together,” said the leading actress, who has worked in novels, theater, and new platforms.
“The film and television actress commented for this media outlet, El Sol de Salamanca, that she is very active, “I am doing one thing or another, I have been working on my monologue, I published a book, and I am awaiting some projects to materialize, and, well, working.”
Verónica Langer stated that she is waiting for a series she recently did for ViX, produced by Carmen Armendáriz, called “Una familia complicada,” which also features Carmen Barraza and several other artists, as well as another film she made with producer Jorge Ramírez Suárez.
Verónica Langer began reading excerpts from the poems written by the poet born in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Carmen Alardín, who passed away in 2014 and also left a great legacy in writing.
Verónica Langer, who has participated in novels such as “Mirada de mujer,” “Soy tu Fan,” “La casa de las flores,” and “Rosario Tijeras,” made the narration of the poems very engaging for the audience, who applauded her for more than a minute at the end.

At the end of Leo, Luego existo, Verónica Langer expressed her pride in being part of these programs, as she emphasized the aim of promoting reading among people, especially children, thus changing the world; she then took photos with several of her fans who gathered to listen to her.
