Meat glue is considered safe when consumed in the recommended doses, and approved health standards state that no more than 50 grams of this substance should be consumed per day, as it contains preservatives and chemical additives that can pose a health risk,” she added.
“We can identify products that contain meat glue by their appearance or texture,” Pollikarova said. “They are usually thicker or stickier than processed meats that do not contain this substance. You should also pay attention to the labels on processed meats when you buy them. Meat glue may be referred to by different names and phrases on these labels, such as “high protein content,” “additional flavors,” or other phrases.
