Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is calling on Muslim countries to stop Israel from supplying fuel and other products, which he says are “preventing water from entering the Gaza Strip.”
“Muslim countries should demand from their regimes to end aid to Israel and cut ties with it,” Khamenei said during a meeting with people from Khuzestan and Kerman provinces in Tehran.
On October 9, two days after Hamas carried out the devastating massacre, Israel cut off pipeline water to Gaza, which accounts for about nine percent of the coastal enclave’s peacetime water supply. It has since resumed supplying some water to designated humanitarian areas.
Khamenei also said that Israel will one day be wiped off the face of the earth.
“God willing, this promise is one of the certainties of the future. Young people, see that day with your own eyes. With God’s help and strength, with God’s permission and glory, it will happen, and with God’s permission, I hope that you, the youth, will see that day with your own eyes.”
Ali Khamenei says that Israel, the United States and the United Kingdom do not differ in the eyes of the international community because of their support for the ongoing military offensive in Gaza.
“The US shamelessly vetoes a Security Council resolution on a ceasefire, exposing the face of Western civilization,” he says, referring to Washington’s efforts to block such measures.
“The great victory of the Palestinian people is that they have discredited the West and the United States and their false claims about human rights.”
Iran, which financially and militarily backs Hamas, welcomed the terrorist group’s murderous Oct. 7 attack. the attack as a “success” but denied any direct involvement.
