Civilian-military cooperation exercise “Trust 2023” has ended

As reported by the army, 200 soldiers from Lithuania and six NATO countries participated in the exercises held in the municipalities of Šilutė, Pagėgiai, Tauragė, Jurbarka, and Šakiai districts.

The purpose of the military training organized for the eleventh time was to prepare to counter hybrid threats and to train Lithuanian and allied soldiers from the USA, Latvia, and Poland to operate in a civilian environment.

Observer groups from Germany, Estonia and the Netherlands also observed the exercises and exchanged experiences. In these exercises, in cooperation with civil institutions, the soldiers of the Lithuanian army and allies trained to plan and carry out tasks of information operations in accordance with established procedures.

Pre-established groups of military specialists assessed the civilian environment and its influence on military operations in designated areas of responsibility, planned and executed information operations.
