According to a recent report by Zscaler, a leading cybersecurity companyThey have been identified two infected applications by the banking trojan lit up, also known as Teabot.

This malware is specifically designed to steal access credentials to electronic banking platforms. According to the cybersecurity firm, the following Play Store applications have been identified as carrying this virus:

• PDF Reader & File Manager: This is a mobile application that allows users to view and manage PDF files on their devices. In addition to PDF reading, some versions may include additional features such as file organization, highlighting, and document annotation.
• QR Reader & File Manager: It is an application designed to allow users to scan QR codes with the camera of their cell phone. It also offers additional features, such as the ability to manage and organize files on the device such as documents, images, videos, among others.

These two applications were recently removed from the app store after the report about the Teabot was received.

However, it is important to note that although these applications have already been removed from the Play Store, you may still have them on your device. Therefore, We recommend that you remove them as soon as possible. if you find them installed.
