Pakistan exempts visa fees for citizens of 126 countries

Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif Online for 126 countries in the federal cabinet meeting on Wednesday chaired by visa Implementation of the application system has been approved.

Apart from this, a separate sub-category has been approved for visa-on-arrival facility for Sikh pilgrims holding passports of third countries.

It was also decided that in this regard a dashboard will be established in the Federal Ministry of Interior which will monitor the online visa system.

Speaking at a press conference after the meeting, the Prime Minister said that the new visa program will increase foreign investment, and the decision to relax the visa policy has made Pakistan an attractive destination for foreign visitors.

He said that e-gates are being implemented at airports in the country and will be implemented at nine airports including Gwadar. In the first phase, e-gates will be launched in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

He said that this process will promote religious tourism and there are best religious places in Pakistan, there are also best tourist places in northern areas and this initiative will also promote tourism there.

This move will stabilize the economy, increase foreign exchange reserves.

Talking to the participants during the cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister said that ‘the recent barbaric actions of Israel in Palestine are unprecedented in history.’

He said that every citizen, including innocent children and women, is being subjected to Israeli brutality in Gaza and other areas of Palestine. He said that during the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Shanghai Cooperation Organization Plus conferences in Astana, I raised my voice for the oppressed people of Palestine.

The Prime Minister emphasized on resolving the Palestine issue in the light of United Nations resolutions.

The Prime Minister and Cabinet members strongly condemned the attack on the Pakistani Consulate in Frankfurt, Germany and the desecration of the Pakistani flag and said that strict legal action should be taken against those involved in the incident.
