Funvisis highlights on its website the importance of staying calm during an earthquake. In such situations, it is recommended to stay away from objects that may fall and cause damage when they hit the ground, as well as windows, balconies, glass doors or mirrors.

If a person is on the street, it is crucial to avoid areas near poles, wires and structures that may collapse.

Citizens should seek shelter in a safe place, such as under a table or desk. If they do not have access to a nearby shelter, they can take shelter against a wall, protecting their head with their arms.

Subsequently, it is advisable to evacuate the area in an orderly manner, always using the stairs and avoiding risk areas.

In addition, it is recommended to have an emergency plan at home, school and/or workplace, which should be known by all those involved so that it can be implemented quickly in the event of an emergency.
