‘The personality you see on social media is the real one, that is my public face, although there are some differences in my private life, but that is my personal life. What people saw and liked on social media was probably because people like to be happy and to be happy.’
According to Romesa, her character’s name is Maria, who is John’s lover, and Romesa says it is very different from her life. “Maria is a girl from a poor family, but what you find is that she also has big dreams, such girls go out and work, help their family financially, now this girl has to go to Kashmir, with AC.” There is a train to go, and Maria has quite an influence on John’s life. John only laughs when he is with Maria.
‘Maria is the only female character in the entire film, so I felt there were more opportunities to act in it.’
On playing a very simple role in the film, which didn’t even have a hint of glamour, Romesa said ‘If you look at it, Maria and John look great, because that’s how people’s love story is in normal life.’
‘If there is a role where you have to focus on acting more than focusing on your beauty, then it works well. This story is very close to real life, it has the colors of reality, and I am actually like that, I don’t care much how I look, although it should matter, everyone has the right to look cute.’

Romesa said that when her father used to work, he used to do it for the stage, at that time there was not so much TV etc. Now the new generation has come, so there was no possibility of typecasting, but if I constantly only do comedy. If I did, maybe it would, but I personally like to do difficult roles and comedy is a part of my life.’
Romeesa Khan also explained that the drama ‘Chand Tara’ in which she was opposite Asher Wajahat was done later, a film she completed two years ago.
