In the second match of Pakistan Super League 9 in Karachi, Karachi Kings have been defeated only because of Rutherford.
Quetta Gladiators needed 15 runs in the last over to win this match against Karachi Kings which Rutherford got on the last ball of the over after hitting two sixes off the first two balls.
In defense of the target of 166 runs, Karachi Kings got five wickets of Quetta Gladiators for 89 runs and after seeing the batting line of Gladiators, they were also convinced that now they are very close to winning the match.
But Rutherford and Aqeel Hussain dashed all the hopes of Karachi Kings. Both the batsmen shared a sixth wicket partnership of 80 runs off 47 balls in this difficult time to win their team.
Sherfin Rutherford played an incredible innings of unbeaten 58 runs off 31 balls with the help of six sixes and one four while Aqeel Hussain also supported him and played an innings of 22 runs off 17 balls and remained not out.
Apart from them, Jason Roy also scored a half-century from Gladiators which included four sixes and two fours.
Sheriff Rutherford has been adjudged the man of the match for this brilliant innings.

Karachi Kings also bowled better than the previous match but in the end they too had no answer for Rutherford. Hasan Ali and Zahid Mahmood were the outstanding bowlers by taking two wickets from Karachi Kings.
