Epic Games has announced a new collaboration with Tesla to bring the extravagant Cybertruck to Fortnite Battle Royale and Rocket League, which will begin to be available in both games starting this Tuesday, July 23.
Although, the trailer While it didn’t show any gameplay, it did at least offer a clear idea of what the Cybertruck officially looks like in-game, while towing some heavy vehicles.
It’s worth mentioning that the trailer clarifies that “some optional content requires purchase and/or gameplay to unlock.” It doesn’t include the actual price or V-Buck value. Still, fans can probably speculate on the cost based on previous similar DLCs in Fortnite.
As for Rocket League, Psyonix also made a post in X on the inclusion of the latest model from Elon Musk’s car company in his flying car soccer game.
The Pirates of the Caribbean also arrived at Fortnite
While you wait for the Cybertruck to arrive in Fortnite and Rocket League, you can also dive into a new Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired event in the Battle Royale. In this new event, players will be able to search for buried treasure, complete nautical challenges, earn rewards in the Cursed Sails Pass, and more until August 6.
Called “Cursed Sails”, it has its own event pass that has free and premium versions, and by purchasing the premium one you will automatically get the Jack Sparrow outfit that was previously available.
The LEGO version of this skin is automatically obtained when you purchase the base version, and the premium version of the reward tracker has a “Cursed Jack Sparrow” skeletal skin in addition to its LEGO version as well.
Other elements of the event pass include pickaxes, emotes, and the usual array of Fortnite cosmetics to acquire, but in-game tasks will also earn you rewards. Some themed in-game items are also available in Battle Royale mode, such as a Ship in a Bottle that summons a ship to crash into opponents, a Pirate Cannon that will launch you around, and Buried Treasure that grants better loot if unearthed.
Lastly, Jack Sparrow isn’t the only skin you can get in this event, as Elizabeth Swann, Captain Barbossa, and Davy Jones are also in Fortnite now with different LEGO styles and related cosmetics, such as swords, backpacks, and more.
