As part of the Horizon Europe programme, the European Innovation Council (EIC) has launched a call for proposals to support SMEs in developing disruptive innovations that create new markets or transform existing markets.
Out of 1,000 applications received from across Europe, the EIC selected Reims biotech company Apmonia Therapeutics as the winner. The funding allocated to Apmonia Therapeutics will consist of a €2.5 million grant from the IEC and an equity investment of €7 million. In addition, Lance Biotech announced that it has prepared a new round of financing to support its development.
