On July 17, at 6:04 a.m., after a six-hour climb in extreme conditions of -12 degrees, we reached the summit. The descent, which was quicker, took a day and a half, concluding on Thursday, July 18.”, the young adventurer shared.

Climbing this summit at just 20 years old makes me the youngest Moroccan and Arab woman to achieve this feat, Yasmine expressed joyfully, emphasizing her hope that this ascent inspires Moroccan women and showcases the remarkable ambitions of the new generation. After climbing the highest peak in Morocco, Toubkal, it was natural for me to aim for the highest peak on our continent, Kilimanjaro, since I have been passionate about challenges and self-improvement from a young age.,” Louz added.

“Happiness is doubled when shared.” This adventure would not have been possible without my best friend from childhood, Ahmed Safi, who accompanies me on all my adventurous pursuits. We received support from the Arusha youth guides organization, Kilisere Adventure, and our group included two guides and nine porters.,” Yasmine Louz explained.

The final climb, which started at midnight and reached the summit at sunrise, presented the greatest difficulty and became the most memorable experience. In the cold, dark night, with icy winds and accumulated fatigue from the previous days, it is at this moment that the mind overtakes the body. It is during these extreme conditions that we question everything and discover the inner strength that drives us to continue.

At this moment, I want to fully absorb the lessons learned from this experience with great humility. However, as realizing one dream often leads to another, I am excited to see what my next adventure holds. The future will reveal it to us.”
