Asuncion, IP Agency.- The night clinics implemented by the Ministry of Public Health to facilitate access to health care at any time have already served 293,676 people since August of last year.
This service is available from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in 35 hospitals, and is of utmost importance as it helps to relieve congestion in emergency areas. This strategy has facilitated access to medical services for the population, says the Ministry of Health.
The specialties that can be accessed during these extended hours are pediatrics, gynecology, cardiology, dentistry, internal medicine and surgery. Reducing waiting times and optimizing assistance for cases requiring immediate attention are other objectives of the strategy.
The Ministry of Health urges citizens to take advantage of these night clinics for both regular check-ups and in cases of illness symptoms. The availability of specialists during these extended hours seeks to guarantee quality medical care.
There are currently 35 hospitals, distributed in various regions of the country, that offer night consultation services, marking an important advance in access to specialized medical care in Paraguay.
