Maduro Guerra announces that work is being done on a new law to protect the national industry

Deputy Nicolás Maduro Guerra explained that from the National Assembly (AN) of 2020, a bill linked to the promotion and protection of national production is being worked on, which Its aim is to protect the Venezuelan industry.

In an interview with Union RadioMaduro Guerra pointed out that this is support for “what we manufacture, our workforce, our public and private companies, that are contributing to national development”.

He also said that The establishment of a trade law and a foreign trade law is being studiedtrying to provide the greatest possible number of benefits on products made in the national territory.

“We are reviewing the ‘Industrial Property and Intellectual Property Law’, because it is important to protect industrial, scientific, technological creation, patents. We are reviewing the entire plan of laws that we are going to propose from July 29 and January 10, 2025.”he added.

According to Maduro Guerra, the current year will be key to creating favorable investment spaces through the Special Economic Zones (ZEE).

“We have prioritized several areas within the SEZs. The company or investment that arrives must have an industrial vocation, a vocation to add value to the country, to Gross Domestic Product, to generate GDP for the country.”he added.

Specifically, the points of the territory that investors are targeting in the first instance are: La Guaira, Paraguana and Carabobo.
