The Social Security Administration (SSA) provides retirement income to its beneficiaries in the United States. It is also responsible for issuing payments to people with disabilities, whether permanent or not.
The SSDI (Senior Citizen Disability Insurance) job list is being updated to remove jobs that no longer qualify for payments.
Specifically, to award disability benefits, the SSA uses medical records and a person’s ability to work. This is how it can then determine Social Security disability benefits.
If you pay Social Security taxes and are unable to perform your daily job due to a physical or mental condition, the SSA will review your case.
For example, your age, educational level and work experience will be taken into account. This will determine whether or not you are suitable for a specific job.

By the way, the SSA has a database that includes several jobs. This is one way to find out if the applicant can still work.
The SSA issued its most recent update on the issue. It eliminated, in fact, 114 occupations that include more than 12 thousand types of jobs. There has not been a revision of the list since the distant year of 1977.
