SOLOIST Al Priadi was one of the performers at the annual international music festival We The Fest (WTF) 2024. He performed on the first day of WTF, Friday (19/7) on the Park stage, in the GBK area, Senayan, Jakarta.
In his performance, Sal performed material from his latest album, Markers and Such Pens Flashdisks. One of the interesting things about Sal’s performance that night was that he seemed to transform the music stage into a performing arts stage that had a plot and story arcs.
He builds the atmosphere from track to track, complete with body language, theatricality, and even a choir session at the solemn and moving Sunflower Gala.
Sal, that night also did not appear alone. He brought collaborators both producers such as Gusti Irwan Wibowo and Petra Sihombing, Dhira Bong, and the appearance of Ken Danuja, husband of actress Tara Basro who also starred in the video clip and directed Dari planet lain.
Apart from the tracks above, several other tracks that were sung included Zuzuzaza, Where is your address now, Our photo is blurry, Where is your address now, Yes, and I’d like to watch you sleeping.
The song Dari planet lain, found its viral momentum on social media. Followed by the song Gala bunga matahari which also went viral and made many people sad because of its lyrics. When performing at WTF 2024, Gala bunga matahari was performed with a choir session with a group of children. (Z-8)
