On Monday afternoon, a truck lost diesel fuel on the Tyrol Autobahn (A12) near Vogel (Kufstein district) after an accident in a construction zone, resulting in the temporary closure of both lanes of the autobahn. APA Police confirmed reports from ORF Tirol that the tractor-trailer had previously left the road for unknown reasons and crashed into a concrete barrier. A long traffic jam formed.
The accident is said to have occurred in front of the Wörgl Ost exit. The impact caused damage to the tractor-trailer’s fuel tank. The Inntal Highway then had to be completely closed in all directions for about 25 minutes due to the heavy loss of diesel. The Vogel Volunteer Fire Department and the Quindell Fire Department participated in the cleanup efforts.
