Human rights organization Amnesty International has demanded the government of Pakistan to remove the ban imposed on the famous video sharing app Tik Tok.
Reacting to the ban on Tik Tok in Pakistan, he said that the people of Pakistan have been deprived of their right to express themselves in the name of campaign against obscenity.
He said that it is expected that this disappointing decision will be immediately withdrawn and restrictions on the people of Pakistan to read, watch, speak and express their opinions will be relaxed.
It should be noted that today the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has banned China’s famous video sharing app.
PTA spokesperson says that Tik Tok was banned for sharing immoral and inappropriate content. The PTA has banned Tik Tok after public complaints.
According to the spokesperson, PTA had given time to Tik Tok to file the final notice and reply. Tik Tok was banned for not addressing complaints. Pakistan Telecommunication Authority informed the Tik Tok management about the ban.
According to the spokesperson, the ban decision can be reviewed by removing the immoral content and taking appropriate measures.
Earlier, the famous Tik Tok had called for the creation of a social media alliance to prevent harmful content.
