Crime rate recorded a 25.1% drop

The Vice President for Citizen Security and Peace, A/J Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, reported that the crime rate in the national territory registered a decrease of 25.1% compared to the year 2023.

Through the social network X, the Ministry of People’s Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, detailed that during a meeting with authorities of Security and Peace, “AJ. Ceballos reported the decrease of general crime by 25.1% compared to the first 5 months” of last year.

According to the publication, during the meeting they reviewed “the plans related to strategic patrols by public security agencies against organized crime groups.”

They stressed that this decrease is “thanks to the policies of the Bolivarian Government, the Great Mission of Peace Quadrants and its full deployment in the national territory,” which have “allowed to guarantee the tranquility of the Venezuelan people.”

On May 9, Ceballos Ichaso held a meeting with public security authorities, with the aim of outlining strategies to protect and ensure the quality of life of the Venezuelan people.

At that time, he indicated that “thanks to the immediate action of the public security agencies, a national reduction of 24% in crime rates has been shown in the weekly comparison with last year.”
