The Fire Department was called to deal with dozens of fires throughout the country today.

According to the official information, a total of 45 agroforestry fires occurred in the last 24 hours, of which 31 were dealt with immediately, in their initial stage, while the fire brigades are still dealing with fourteen 14.

At this time all fire fronts are in remission and most have been brought under partial control or contained.

In the followingnoon, a fire broke out in the Panagia area in Almyropotamos, Evia. The fire broke out in an agroforestry area, near the coast and among scattered houses. 112 was immediately activated and a message was sent to the residents to be ready.
