The boy had jumped from a so-called “base jump tower” from a height of three meters onto the air-filled mats below. The eight-year-old landed so badly that he sustained a serious leg injury.
After receiving first aid and being rescued by rescue workers, the boy was flown to Kufstein Hospital by emergency helicopter, police said. The Dutchman had already jumped onto the mats several times before the accident. He was in the amusement park with his parents.
