Judge Manolo López, in charge of High Risk Court B, decided that Shadia Alejandra Ramírez should testify before the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP) and give her testimony regarding the disappearance of the singer from Guastatoya, El Progreso, José Zoel Cruz.

The judge’s decision was made within the framework of a disagreement hearing, promoted by the lawyer José Manuel Quinto who is in charge of the defense of Hugo Roberto Andony Galdámez and José Armando Granados, the main suspects in the disappearance of the regional music singer whose whereregardings have been unknown since November 2021.

The lawyer for the accused sought in a hearing that the judge authorize the carrying out of new investigative procedures and that they be incorporated as evidence in favor of his defendants.

The lawyer asked the judge to authorize different types of proceedings. He asked that the testimony of all the PNC agents who arrived at the place where the events allegedly occurred be received. In addition to including the statement of the owner of the El Bosque restaurant, a person who, he said, is out of the country; and the testimony of Andony Galdámez.

He also criticised the fact that some of the investigations carried out by the investigative body may lack support and questioned some testimonies that are part of the investigation file.

However, of all the requests made by the lawyer, the judge only accepted that the Public Prosecutor’s Office take the statement of Shadia Alejandra Ramírez, which must be incorporated into the investigation file.
