The Tax Administration Superintendency (SAT) has decided to keep confidential all information related to security measures in customs facilities, personnel of the customs administrations, as well as members of the Board of Directors.

The measure is only for the purposes of applying the Information Access Law, in accordance with Superintendency Resolution Number SAT-DSI-1361-2024 signed by the head of the SAT Marco Livio Díaz Reyes and published yesterday in the Central America Diary.

The publication indicates that the information contained in the various analyses on risk levels and other similar documents, prepared by the units that make up the Institutional Security management, related to risk assessment of facilities in customs, ports and airports; security schemes and protocols; vehicle distribution, type, degree of armor; identification of pilots and security personnel for the Board of Directors, the superintendent, mayors and other officials and their families, is considered confidential for seven years.

Information related to the inventory of firearms owned by the SAT, location plans for video cameras, sensors and components of the electronic security system are also declared confidential. The provision came into effect yesterday.
