Trade unions and civil society joined the Command with Venezuela

At an event organized by the Aragua en Red Civil Association, union forces from the entity, civil society and representatives of the Comando con Venezuela met. César Pérez Vivas, former governor of Táchira, assumed the role of spokesperson for this political organization that supports the candidacy of Edmundo González, standard-bearer of the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD).

During the meeting, they discussed possible strategies for the upcoming electoral process on July 28 and the violent incidents during the campaign once morest opposition political leaders.

In his remarks, Pérez Viva stressed the importance of unity in Venezuelan society to achieve significant changes that improve the quality of life.

He stressed the need for participation and massive voting in the upcoming elections, and highlighted the “unbreakable will” of Venezuelans to go to the polls despite “possible adversities.”

The leader’s speech aimed to denounce government strategies that seek to divert attention from violence.

He stressed the call to maintain a peaceful and democratic struggle. “In Venezuela, the only violent people are in the government,” he said.

Pérez Vivas addressed recent cases of political violence, which included attacks once morest prominent opposition figures such as María Corina Machado, calling these situations “attempts by the government to create discord and sow fear among citizens.”

Regarding possible post-electoral scenarios and the opposition’s preparation for them, the political leader reiterated his confidence in the constitutional path and his firm conviction “that the transition will take place within the legal framework.”

The leaders also discussed the recent arrests of opposition members, such as the case of leader Regulo Pavón in Monagas, which, according to Pérez, represents “an act of retaliation and political revenge.”

The leader’s call to the community was firm in urging them to “maintain faith in the democratic process, avoid falling into violent provocations and go to the polls en masse on election day.”

Pérez Viva reaffirmed his commitment to the Command with Venezuela and urged society to continue forward “with determination and civic spirit in search of peace and the desired change for the country.”
