Mayor of French city pays tribute to Paraguayan U23 team

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Hagetmau City Council organised an event to thank the Paraguayan delegation for choosing the city as the base for their preparation to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

It is a community located in the Landes department and the Aquitaine region, with a population of nearly five thousand inhabitants and approximately 741 kilometres from Paris.

Located between the beaches of the Atlantic Pyrenees, with a local industry specialising in the manufacture of chairs and armchairs, it stands out for its sports facilities and unspoilt nature. These are the characteristics of the area where the Albirroja Sub 23 are finalising their preparations for the Olympic challenge.

The entire Albi-Roja squad took part in this event, including recent additions such as Fabián Balbuena and Roberto Junior Fernández, as well as the member of the Executive Council, Enrique Sánchez, and the sports director of the Paraguayan National Team, Justo Villar.

The event was attended by the Mayor of Hagetmau, Pascale Requenna, and other members of the City Hall, who presented each member of the national delegation with a medal as a reminder of their visit to the French city, with the wish of great participation in the Olympic Games.

On the other hand, the arrival of Brighton player Julio Cesar Enciso is expected on Wednesday, who will immediately join the team managed by Carlos Jara Saguier.
