After the tribal council, the first person eliminated from the competition was announced
In its second broadcast on the screen, Survivor Expedition Robinson had its first elimination. The extreme reality show hosted by Marley had a difficult day, between inclement weather and a decisive test that fueled tensions, revealed alliances and strategies and ended the adventure of one of the participants.
It all began the day before, when the northern team, wearing red, won the initial test, which gave them the chance to have fire to cook with and to scare away bugs. The southern team, wearing yellow, went to camp with a negative result, amidst complaints and regrets, and ready to face adversity without fire, a difficult scenario in the face of the first immunity test.
Much of the program revolved around Braian, a 28-year-old restaurant worker from Villa Fiorito. “I always wanted to live the experience and especially for the financial reasons, the prize is quite good for me, I won’t deny it,” said the young man during his presentation. But as the activities went on, he showed signs of weakness when remembering his one-year-and-eight-month-old son. “I miss him a lot,” said Braian, who walked away from the group at the camp and tearfully expressed his feelings.
The first immunity challenge in Survivor Expedition Robinson
On the other side, everything was joy. Around the campfire, taking advantage of the benefits obtained, some leaders began to form, such as that of Lobo, a former rescue firefighter. In both cases, they began to get used to living in a hostile environment and to form alliances to face the difficulties of survival. As if the context were not enough and add more drama, the first storm broke out, something common on the island located in Colombia, in the Darien Gap, known for being one of the most hostile areas in terms of climate.
In this context, they faced the first immunity game. To do so, they had to assemble a wheelbarrow, lift a chest onto it and look for two keys, one buried next to a log and another under a pile of rocks. Along the way, they had to collect two other chests and another key, to open the locks that contained the pieces of a puzzle.
With one more player, the yellow team had to leave one contestant aside and Braian volunteered not to take part in the challenge. “I have an upset stomach, just in case something happens that affects the team,” he excused himself. When push came to shove, the northern team maintained the initial advantage and was more in tune with putting the puzzle together, which earned them a clear victory.
With the defeat consummated, many pointed the finger at Braian for having refused to participate in the competition. “Nobody insisted on me,” the young man defended himself. From then on, it was time to forge alliances and from the beginning it seemed to be a scenario of men once morest women. In this scenario, the female participants had the advantage. In an odd group, it was seven once morest six and that might tip the balance.
With their backpacks packed and their torches lit, the yellow team approached the elimination council. After a brief review of first impressions, and a new round of reproaches, always within the context of the war of the sexes, Marley invited them to the vote where what was presumed was confirmed. Braian received nine votes and was by a wide margin the one chosen by his companions to leave the competition. “I wish you all success, it was a pleasure to meet you. I left my baby, it was difficult for me, I didn’t think it was going to be so bad,” admitted the young man, without rancor.
