Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said on the sidelines of a bilateral meeting that Indonesian President Joko Widodo had received an honorary medal, the Order of Zayed from the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
“The Order of Zayed is the highest civilian award from the PEA for world figures,” said Retno in her statement, Wednesday (17/7).
President Jokowi and President MBZ also witnessed the announcement of 8 agreements on the deliverables of the visit. The agreements are:
1. MoU between the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises and Eagle Hills regarding tourism and air transportation;
2. MoU between Nusantara Capital Authority and Dubai International Financial Centre Authority regarding the establishment of a Financial Centre in the IKN;
3. MoU between BRIN and Emirates Nuclear Energy (ENEC) regarding nuclear energy;

4. MoU between BI and UAECB regarding payment systems;
5. MoU between the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Finance regarding Public Finance Management;
6. Framework Agreement antara PT DI & PAL Aerospace terkait Technology Transfer of Maritime Patrol Aircraft and Anti-Submarine Warfare;

7. MoU between Masdar and PLN Icon+ for Joint Assessment and Study of Solar Rooftop installations in commercial and industrial sectors in Indonesia;
8. MoU between the Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund United Arab Emirates and the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment regarding the development of the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Joko Widodo International Mangrove Research Center in Bali.
“After this series of state visits, the President will immediately return to Indonesia and God willing will arrive in the country on the morning of July 18, 2024,” said Retno. (Z-6)
