RSC Anderlecht continues its pre-season preparations and will take on a formidable opponent this Saturday: Wolfsburg, now led by none other than Sebastiaan Bornauw.

The central defender, who has played in Germany since 2019, eagerly awaits the reunion with his former teammates and the club that holds a special place in his heart. In an interview with *Wolfsburg General*, the 25-year-old shared his deep affection for RSCA. “I have an incredibly strong bond with this club, it means the world to me. I actually spent more time at Anderlecht than I did with my own parents.”

A member of the first team during the 2018-2019 season, Sebastiaan Bornauw will once once more share the field with familiar faces, including Yari Verschaeren. “I still have several good friends there. We even attended the same school and managed to have dinner together this summer.”

Signed to a contract that runs until 2026, Bornauw was acquired by Wolfsburg for a transfer fee of 13.5 million euros from Cologne. Cologne had previously paid 8.5 million euros to Anderlecht in 2019 to secure his services.
