Samsung continues to update its successful Galaxy S family with the latest Android security patch, the one for the current month. After releasing the latest Android security update on the Galaxy S24 and on the Galaxy S21, it’s now the turn of its 2023 flagships, the Samsung Galaxy S23.
As reported by specialized media outlet SamMobile, the Korean firm has begun deploying the July Android update on the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra in various countries around the world.
Android July 2024 Update Arrives on Samsung Galaxy S23 in the US, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East
Samsung has started releasing the Android July 2024 Update on the international variant of the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra in several countries across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, including India, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates with firmware version S91XBXXS6CXFC.
Similarly, the July security update is also being released for US carrier-locked and carrier-unlocked versions of the Galaxy S23 with build numbers S91XUSQS4CXE9 and S91XU1UES4CXE9.
As expected, these three new firmwares include the July 2024 security patch, which fixes nearly 6 dozen security and privacy issues, resolves some general interface bugs found in previous versions of One UI, and improves the performance and stability of these three premium Galaxy devices.
It’s worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra were updated to One UI 6.1 with Android 14 in the first quarter of this year and are expected to receive One UI 6.1.1 before the end of 2024.
When this update rolls out worldwide, you can check if it’s already reached your Galaxy S23 by accessing the Settings menu on your smartphone and going to the Software update section.
Once it’s available, simply tap on the Download and install button, and let One UI update your phone with the latest Android security patch.
