“I entered through the wrong door”: Russian artists apologize massively for the “nude party”, the organizer is fined 10 million. euro claim

The plaintiffs believe that the party caused them moral damage. The Telegram channel “Shot” says that 23 people signed the document, and they demand to transfer the entire amount to the “Defenders of the Motherland” support fund for war participants, which supports the Russians who are fighting in Ukraine and killing people.

According to Russian media, the collective action was initiated by producer Alexander Inshakov. Earlier in an interview with “Izvestija” newspaper, he said that he intends to file a lawsuit once morest A. Ivleev.

In addition, according to RBK, the mobile communications operator MTS has removed commercials featuring A. Ivleeva from the air and is considering removing the TV presenter from all its advertising products.

On Tuesday, the performers Filip Kirkorov and Dima Bilan apologized for the video from A. Ivleeva’s party. According to F. Kirkorov, he knew regarding the dress code, but “did not know regarding the nature of the event.” “There are moments in everyone’s life when you walk through the wrong door,” explained the pop singer.

D. Bilan, for his part, noted that participating in public events is part of his profession, and although he knew regarding the dress code, he had no idea what would happen at A. Ivlejeva’s party.

After them, the singer Lolita Miliavskaja also published an address in which she said that she and the other participants “went to an art exhibition, to an art object.” In an interview with RBK, L. Miliavskaja said that she had to cancel her concerts following A. Ivleeva’s “nude party”. According to the singer, she is also “taken off the air”.

“There’s nothing I can do regarding it, I just take it for granted. I got nervous and my blood pressure went up. I will try to endure,” said the performer.

K. Sobchak: I love my country

Journalist Ksenija Sobčak also commented on her performance at A. Ivleeva’s party.

In her video message, the journalist emphasized that the party was not planned as a “public story.” She also said that such provocative and epithet-raising parties “should be carefully timed”. “Now is not the time,” said Ksenia Sobchak. She apologized to anyone who may have been hurt by her performance.

“I love my country, I’m a journalist working in Russia, and I want everyone to know that I don’t want this feeling of hatred and anger towards me or other artists because of such a stupid incident,” she said.

Deleted posts criticizing the war

A. Ivlejeva, who organized the party earlier, recorded a video message in which she apologized for the videos of the party. The BBC has pointed out that for some reason posts criticizing the war have disappeared from her Instagram.

One post used to be a black square with the caption “NO to war”. The second post included a picture of a dove and a call to the Russian authorities to end hostilities and start peace talks.

“We witnessed this catastrophe. People are dying in Ukraine, cities are collapsing, our soldiers, many of whom are very young, there is an information war in which we ordinary people cannot find the truth, there is a civil information war in which we ordinary people curse, threaten and hate each other. I looked forward to the negotiations, which turned out to be only the first step in a chain of complex agreements that I hope both sides are willing to reach,” the message read.

“Totally Innocent” Party

Immediately following the party, the participants of the event on December 20 commented on the events of the evening in a completely different way. K. Sobčak wrote on his Telegram channel that “where and when adults go with their bare behinds is their own business.” She did not say at the time that she thought the timing of the party was inappropriate.

“The world is wrong – it always has been, is and always will be wrong. “People are being killed somewhere, children are starving somewhere, and champagne is being drunk somewhere,” K. Sobčak wrote then.

In an interview with News.ru, the performer L. Miliavskaja claimed that the party was “completely innocent”: “Nothing but irony, nothing vulgar happened. It was funny, fun, lots of talented young people. The dress code is quite ironic, no naked bodies.”

Lots of famous names

The closed party was held on December 20. at the Mutabor Club (the second part took place the next day and tickets were available for purchase). It was attended by many famous people, including Philip Kirkorov, Dzhigan, Dima Bilan, Lolita Miliavskaya, Ksenia Sobchak and others.

According to the terms of the dress code, the participants had to appear almost naked in the club. Many of them actually opted for semi-sheer clothes.

Infuriated the Z patriots

After footage of the party appeared on the Internet, Russian pro-Moscow bloggers, State Duma deputies, public and Orthodox activists expressed outrage and called for the organizers and participants to be held accountable.

One conservative religious movement sent a request to the prosecutor’s office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs to check the circumstances of the “bath during the war”.

The right-wing movement “People’s Call” sent a similar letter to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Vladimir Kolokoltsev, the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, and the Prosecutor General, Igor Krasnov. Ekaterina Mizulina, head of the Safe Internet League, advocated a boycott of the event’s participants at the “state level”.

One of the participants, the rapper Vacio (real name is Nikolai Vasiliev), who came to the party with only a sock on his genitals, was sent behind bars for 15 days, charged with public order violation and “LGBT propaganda” and fined 200,000 rubles (2,000 euros). Propaganda news agency RIA Novosti published a video in which rapper Vacio apologized “for hurting the feelings of many people at such a difficult time for our country.”
