Apple last week introduced 4 phones of its iPhone 12 series, which for the first time have 5G support.
But now a leak has revealed that 5G support will only be available to users if they use a single SIM.
If dual SIM is used in iPhone 12 (any phone in this series), it will not be able to use 5G internet connectivity.
Note that e-SIM can be used for another SIM along with regular SIM in iPhones.
However, on using both of them, you will get 4G LTE speed, but you will face the loss of 5G facility.
If you want blazing fast 5G speeds, you’ll have to stick with single SIM instead of dual, as new iPhones with dual SIM connectivity will automatically switch to 4G speeds.
The leak reveals an Apple sales webpage that clearly states ‘5G data will not support either line when 2 lines are used in dual SIM mode and will be transferred to 4G LTE. So, if the user uses only e-SIM and the mobile company provides 5G support, then he will have access to 5G’.

According to various reports, Apple may release a software update for this issue by the end of this year, but it is difficult to say whether it will solve the problem.
