Travel receipts exceeded 20.4 billion euros in 2023, according to a press release issued today (20.2.2024) by the Bank of Greece (BoG) on the current account balance.
As reported by the BoE, in December 2023, the current account deficit decreased compared to the corresponding month in 2022, mainly due to the improvement in the goods and secondary income balances and, to a lesser extent, the services balance, while the primary balance of income worsened.
In 2023, according to newsit, the current account deficit narrowed compared to 2022, due to the improvement in goods, services and secondary income balances, which was partially offset by the deterioration of the primary income balance.
