The first short film of popular model Zara Abid, who died in the PIA flight PK 8303 that crashed in Karachi on May 22, has been released on YouTube.
Directed by Ahmed Saram, this film titled ‘Sikka’ turned out to be the first and last film of Zara Abid’s life.
Actress Saba Qamar narrates the story in the film, which portrays Zara as two women who live completely different lives but have the same aspirations.
The film shows two sides of the coin.
Director Ahmed Saram said that ‘I wrote the story of this film last year, at that time I was 16 years old and I wanted to change my career from journalism to filmmaking, at that time I contacted Zara who supported to work in this film.
He added, ‘I didn’t know him before, but he read the script and decided to act in it, arranged his own costumes from Zara and Khadi brands and shot the film from Islamabad to Karachi. reached for’.
According to Ahmed Saram, ‘I actually wanted to start my YouTube channel when young filmmakers were releasing their work here to showcase their talent’.
Ahmed Saram’s YouTube channel is called ‘Qasanagari’ and the first video of this channel is ‘Sikka’ starring Zara Abid.
It should be remembered that 99 people were on board the plane that crashed in Karachi and Sindh Health Department officials said that 2 passengers, Zubair and Zafar Masood, survived the accident, while 97 people were confirmed dead.
Zara Abid has been rising fast in the Pakistani fashion industry and this year she won the Best Female Model Award at the Hum Style Awards.
She worked with some of the leading designers in the industry and started her career with Sana Safinaz while soon making her big screen debut with Azim Sajjad’s Chaudhary.
