The Cadillac Escalade, a successful modern SUV, entered its fifth generation three years ago. Last year, the lineup expanded with the electric Escalade IQ, which differed significantly from the classic model. Now, the regular Escalade has received an update, drawing inspiration from its electric counterpart.

For instance, the Escalade boasts similar lighting technology with prominent “tusks” for the running lights. The front grille has grown even larger. The corporate logo now illuminates for enhanced visual impact, and on higher trim levels, the entire “grill” outline shines brightly. The rear features new lights, a revised bumper, and exhaust pipes. The color palette welcomes three new shades, and for an added price, 24-inch wheels are available – the largest ever offered on the Escalade!

The interior showcases a completely redesigned front panel, incorporating many solutions borrowed from the Escalade IQ electric vehicle. Screens dominate the interior width: the instrument cluster and infotainment system reside on a colossal 35-inch “TV,” while the front passenger enjoys a dedicated 20-inch display. The third screen, controlling the climate system, is situated on the center console. All this sensory luxury is complemented by 128-color contour lighting and refined finishing materials.

A luxury package for the second row of seats is now offered. It features a rear console equipped with a touch-sensitive “command center,” dual wireless charging pads, and a sliding table. Additionally, the package includes two 12.6-inch tablets and a seat massage function. The standard audio system houses 19 speakers, while the optional AKG system boasts an impressive 40 speakers. All five doors are now equipped with electric operation for convenient access.

The only technical change involves the removal of the inline six-cylinder 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine (281 hp). However, the powerful V8 6.2-liter engine remains, developing 426 hp and 624 Nm in the standard naturally aspirated configuration. The Escalade-V continues to rely on the supercharged V8 6.2-liter engine, generating 691 hp and 885 Nm of torque. All Escalades come paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission, air suspension, and adaptive Magnetic Ride Control shock absorbers.

Production of the updated Cadillac Escalade SUVs will commence later this year, and pricing will be announced at that time. Currently, the Escalade starts at $95,000 in the United States.

The most successful modern Cadillac, the full-size Escalade SUV, entered its fifth generation three years ago. But last year, the range was expanded with the electric Escalade IQ, which has nothing in common with the classic SUV. And now the regular Escalade has been updated to look more like an electric model.

A Bold New Look for the Cadillac Escalade

The updated Escalade features a redesigned front fascia with massive “tusks” of running lights, a larger radiator grille with an illuminated corporate logo, and illuminated contour lighting for the grille in higher trim levels. The rear also boasts new lights, a revised bumper, and exhaust pipes. Other notable changes include three new body colors and optional 24-inch wheels, the largest ever available for the Escalade.

A Luxurious and Tech-Packed Interior

The interior of the Escalade has been significantly upgraded and now features a completely new front panel inspired by the Escalade IQ electric vehicle. The screens dominate the interior, with a giant 35-inch display for the instrument panel and media system, and a 20-inch display for the front passenger. A third screen for climate control is located on the center console. This sensory luxury is further enhanced by 128-color contour lighting and improved finishing materials.

For even more luxury, a rear-row luxury package is available, which adds a console with a touch-sensitive command center, dual wireless charging pads, a sliding table, two 12.6-inch tablets, and seat massage functionality. The standard audio system comes with 19 speakers, while the optional AKG brand system boasts an impressive 40 speakers. All five doors can be operated electrically.

Powertrain and Performance

The updated Escalade has dropped the inline six-cylinder turbodiesel 3.0 engine, but the powerful V8 6.2 engine remains unchanged. In its standard naturally aspirated configuration, it produces 426 hp and 624 Nm of torque. The high-performance Escalade-V continues to be powered by the supercharged V8 6.2 engine, which delivers a staggering 691 hp and 885 Nm of torque. All Escalades are equipped with a ten-speed automatic transmission, air suspension, and adaptive Magnetic Ride Control shock absorbers.
