Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi will organize ‘Theatre Festival’ in September 2023 in which theater artists from different countries of the world will come to Pakistan to participate.
These views were expressed by Ahmed Shah, president of the Council of Pakistan, Karachi, during a conversation with Independent Urdu, in which he said that ‘Pakistan The greatest of The theater The show is going to be held at the Karachi Arts Council, a never-before-seen event like this in the art world, hundreds of artists will participate in this event.
“We are going beyond borders and making artists from all over the world a part of this platform in this Pakistan Theater Festival. We want artists from there to come to us and our students to go there.”
He further said that 44 events will be organized in the mega event and theaters will be held on different types and themes for a month.
The president of Arts Council Karachi said that in this theater festival, all the artists have the freedom to present their work in any way but in a good way.
All aspects of society will be reflected through theater, delegates from America, Sri Lanka, Iran and other countries will participate in the Pakistan Theater Festival.
According to Ahmad Shah: ‘We are introducing a new brand called Pakistan Theater Festival which will prove to be a historic program of its kind. Through art, not only the connections between Pakistan and other countries will be strengthened, but also the positive face of Pakistan will come out.

The ‘Pakistan Theater Festival 2023’ under the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi will be inaugurated on Friday, September 8. Various theater groups from across Pakistan and seven international theater groups will participate in the Pakistan Theater Festival, including America, Iran, Turkey, Germany, Sri Lanka etc.
The 30-day theater festival will feature 45 shows and various workshops and discussions. In the festival, theaters will be presented in Urdu, international languages including Sindhi Punjabi languages.
