The new Prime Minister of Great Britain, Keir Starmer, said that Ukraine can use British Storm Shadow missiles to strike military targets on the territory of Russia.
He said this while answering a journalist’s question Bloomberg during a trip to the NATO summit in Washington on Tuesday evening, Ukrinform reports.
Starmer agreed that Ukraine should decide for itself how to use the Storm Shadow missiles transferred to it by Britain.
According to him, the missiles should “obviously be used in accordance with international humanitarian law, as should be expected.”
“But it is Ukraine that must decide how to use them for these defense purposes,” he said.
Commenting on Russia’s attack on the Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv, Starmer said it was an “absolutely shocking, horrific attack” that became “a very important, albeit tragic, backdrop to this summit.” “It’s everyone’s duty to describe it that way,” he added.

“My message to President Putin is as follows: this NATO summit should be seen as a clear and united determination of the allies in relation to NATO and other countries to support Ukraine and resist Russian aggression,” the prime minister emphasized.
As reported by Ukrinform, Italy may transfer long-range Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine in the next package of military aid.
The Storm Shadow is a long-range, stealth-capable cruise missile jointly developed by the UK and France that is normally air-launched.
