The fire that broke out on Sunday followingnoon in the area of ​​Poseidonia is under control.

For the fire he rang twice 112. The first informed the citizens regarding its event of fire and the second he called them to move away from the region of Poseidonia towards Anabyssos.

A bather in the area of ​​Souni reported to protothema.gr that “the fire was immediately noticed by the bathers from the smell, small pieces of ash arrived with the wind and the beach was quickly evacuated. However, people did not seem panicked and left the beach quickly. The fire brigade acted very quickly. Residents of the area had taken to the street, while some had even started watering their yards for precautionary reasons.”

According to protothema, the fire that broke out in a forest area in Lavrio was dealt with in 30 minutes, as stated in a statement by the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Vassilis Kikilias.
