With the simple world of PASOK-Movement for Change not to deal, yet, with internal party elections, Achaia follows only at the level of organized executives the central developments of the appointment of a new leader, on October 6u.
This, however, does not mean that those involved in the succession race have been in a hurry to give their stamp in favor of any presidential candidate, which forms a cloudy, until now, intra-party scene, which is not expected to be clarified before the list of “presidents” » to be finalized, but also some balances to be formed with relative clarity. Apart from some data, which come from the previous confrontation and the election of Androulakis to the leadership, nothing remains the same.
According to information from “Peloponnisos”the case of the mayor of Athens Haris Doukas – who is the first to visit Achaia tomorrow – has begun to take root for good in the region, foreshadowing the formation of a strong current, winning over a large number of party executives, who in the previous intra-party polls had strongly supported Androulakis and Papandreou.
However, in the case of X. Doukas, by his choice, the direction he has given his Achaean people is the emphasis on society and not on the classic “recipe”… of party supporters.
As local neutral observers of the intra-party ferments in the PASOK Change Movement said in “P”X. Doukas does not seem to desire “old party standards, but attempts the absolute expansion of the base of the Center-Left, as this is how he has decided to organize the party, if of course he is elected”.
The image above showsat this stage, to have caused a relative “numbness” on the part of Androulakis, which, as much as it maintains forces in the region, sees the acceptance of its internal party opponent, attempting to defend itself in every way. The field of the intra-party “battle”, however, is not characterized as easy, since first and foremost the main “reef” of N. Androulakis is the still low electoral performance of the party and the cliché phrase… “Androulakis, not only cannot win Mitsotakis and the ND, but he also lost to Kasselakis of the dissolved SYRIZA”.
The strategy of Nikos Androulakis -and at the level of Achaia as a prefecture with special elements- for now it is to keep the party apparatus and strong self-governing officials by its side. In this direction, his “first class” in the region remain the mayor of Western Achaia Grigoris Alexopoulos and the secretary of the Prefectural Committee Nikos Moiralis.
Although any nomenclature becomes informal and too risky, a neutral mapping of “P” as possible wants:
- For Androulakis: Solomou, Tapinos, Karvouniaris, Michalopoulou. Mayors Dimitris Kalogeropoulos (Egialia) and Thanasis Papadopoulos (Kalavryton) also see the re-candidacy positively, without both ruling out the case of their institutional colleague X. Doukas.
The name of the mayor of Erymanthos Theodoros Baris is also heard strongly, but he has no reason not to support either X. Doukas or P. Geroulanos. - Pro Duke: Skandamis, Katsikopoulos, Giannadakis, Loi, Loukopoulou, Beskos, Anargyrou, Marinopoulos and a portion of the “Papandreiki”, as well as the so-called “Katsifara” group. It is said that pr. mayor of Western Achaia Spyros Mylonas with his staff, as well as his predecessor Christos Nikolaos with his own people.
- In favor of Geroulanos: Grapsas, Floropoulos and following the support given to him by Nikos Papandreou, several from the “Papandreiko” block.
The former prime minister and MP of Achaia, George Papandreou, however, although he has not taken a position, should not be considered a supporter of Pavlos Geroulanos either, because the MEP’s brother did so publicly, just as he should not be considered far from him either. his main opponent in the previous internal party elections, N. Androulakis! - For Katrina: Self-governing officials, mainly from the Region, many of whom have been associated for years with pr. regional governor Apostolos Katsifaras. Even Mr. Katsifaras himself has great respect for the sunny MP.
- For the presidential candidates Nadia Giannakopoulou and Milena Apostolaki there are still no known executives from Achaia to support them, although the latter may be helped by former political friends of Patrinos Andreas Loverdos, who did not follow him in his new party.
- Anna Diamantopoulou, if it comes down, it will also have a share of friends of A. Loverdos, but also of pr. President Ev. Venizelou, given that of pr. secretary of the NE PASOK of Achaia Aggelas Triantafillou, possibly also the pr. Deputy Minister-MP Kostas Spiliopoulos.
