For the first time in Pakistan, to increase the number of corona virus tests, a covid-19 test laboratory was inaugurated with the help of British company Future Trust and Opencell.
The British High Commissioner in Pakistan, Christian Turner, inaugurated the Future Laboratory in Islamabad, where 2,000 tests can be done daily.
The non-profit organization (NPO) Future Trust, along with the JS Group, set up a laboratory in Pakistan using technology developed by UK Opencell.
According to the report, the NPO wants to use modern technology to solve problems caused by poverty.
The mobile is equipped with a level two plus facility of Covid-19 biosafety and is built to the standard of ISO 15189 and is capable of carrying out the Covid-19 RT-qPCR test.
5 robots will work in the laboratory equipped with modern technology and 6 people will be employed to operate them at different times.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Christian Turner praised the initiative, saying that the laboratory was ‘a clear example of the relationship between the people of Britain and Pakistan’.
He said that the UK is proud to be at the forefront of initiatives such as the development and global distribution of vaccines to combat Covid-19.
He said that the UK was happy to ‘provide massive covid relief to Pakistan through UKAid’.
The British High Commissioner thanked Foreign Investment Honorary Ambassador Ali Jahangir Siddiqui for ‘playing an active role in the project’.
In his statement on social networking website Twitter, he congratulated Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan, Opencell UK and JS Group for setting up the ‘best automated laboratory in Pakistan’.

Ali Jahangir Siddiqui, who was present at the event, thanked Turner for his support for the project and said that the importance of the partnership between Pakistan and UK companies is not only because the two countries are close, but it shows that in life sciences. Partnership is what the world needs at this time’.
Dr. Azim Butt, Head of Molecular Biology Department of Future Laboratory also welcomed the partnership of the two companies.
Dr. Azim Butt said that ‘The cooperation of organizations like JS Bank and Future Trust for the work on innovation in the field of science in the fight once morest Kovid-19 is a matter of satisfaction’.
In its tweet, JS Bank wrote, “We are delighted to partner in the inauguration of the Future Laboratory” and it will increase the number of tests in the country.

Pakistani authorities have warned of a second wave of rising cases of Corona in the country and are also focusing on increasing the rate of testing.
It should be remembered that the first case was reported in Pakistan on February 26, following which in April Britain announced to provide Pakistan with 2.6 million pounds for measures related to Corona.
Currently, the total number of corona cases in Pakistan is 3 lakh 49 thousand 992, while 7 thousand 55 deaths have occurred due to corona, but 3 lakh 20 thousand 849 people have recovered.
