The Constructora Iraira team was crowned champion of the fourth version of the Table Tennis League of the Chillán Viejo Table Tennis Association, following defeating the Fuxion 21 Rental team 4-3 in a close match at the TMZ gym in the historic commune.
The champion team was made up of captain Jean Parra, Óscar Rodríguez, Carolina Rojas and Esteban Vásquez, while the team that took second place was made up of Sebastián Cueto, Bastián Molina, Galo Palacios and Joaquín Venegas.

“The support and work of each teammate was key. We started out supporting each other from the first minute and that was key,” said Jean Parra, who won the tiebreaker match by 3 sets to 0 once morest Sebastián Cueto, sealing the title for his team.
“The key was the disposition we put into each match, the dedication and the determination to win the final,” added Carolina Rojas.
“My greetings to Fernanda Araneda, who was also part of this team and gave us key points. I think the key was that we were always a team, each one contributed vital points, that is why we reached the final,” added the experienced Óscar Rodríguez.
Esteban Vásquez said: “If we can continue playing as a team with the support of each player and the company, it would be ideal. I am happy for this title, we gave everything and never gave up on a match.”
The coordinator of the successful Chillán league, Claudio Zapata, made a positive assessment of the competition that started on April 13 and called for emerging talents with experienced players.
“We are happy with how this league developed, because we had more than 70 players showing their talent, level, determination and community. We thank everyone who made this possible, the sponsors, the mayor of Chillán Viejo Jorge del Pozo, the municipality that provided infrastructure and implementation. We united as an Association and managed to get the youngest players to learn from the experienced players to raise the level.”
At the awards ceremony, the champion team Constructora Iraira was recognized, followed by second place Fuxion 21 Rental and the teams that shared third place, Gladiatore and Mundo Glass.
There were also special awards: Best player: Jean Parra, best captain Sebastián Cueto, best new player Carolina Rojas and best teammate Pablo Zapata.
