The singer Yiannis Katsambas, one of the two members of the well-known duo “Katsambakia”, passed away at the age of 83.
Yiannis Katsampas was born in Agrinio on July 15, 1941 and George Katsampas on January 1, 1944. They released their first album in 1968, followed by dozens of others.
The Katsamba Brothers (affectionately “The Katsambakia”) are Greek self-taught singers, composers and instrumentalists, specializing in the guitar and bouzouki. They have been a group (artistic duo) since 1955 until today.
