Bank Jago revealed that the blocked account, which was then illegally accessed by suspect IA (33), who is a former employee, was suspected of containing money from criminal acts (fraud).

He said the accounts accessed by IA came from customers suspected of money laundering and terrorism.

Meanwhile, regarding the illegal access case that occurred at Bank Jago, Marchelo guaranteed that no customers were harmed or lost funds. Bank Jago will continue to work with the police to resolve the case and take various mitigation steps to prevent similar actions from happening in the future.

Meanwhile, regarding the method used by suspect IA who is also a former employee of Bank Jago, the Director of Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya, Senior Commissioner Ade Safri Simanjuntak explained that the suspect was able to open the blocked account because the person concerned worked at the bank.

“The unblocking was done by ordering the agent command center to submit an unblocking request and then approve the request because it was indeed the authority of the suspect as a Bank Jago contact center specialist,” explained Ade. (Z-11)
