Probably the cheapest cafe in Palanga: loved by locals, but underrated by tourists | Business

The landlady of the apartment where I stayed tells me that this cafe is such an open secret of the locals – it is usually visited by people from Palanga who want to have a cheap and hearty lunch.

The woman is convinced – it is here that the dishes are not made from semi-finished products, so every day you can get unfrozen zeppelins and meatballs stuck together by the cook’s hands.

“Where there are large flows, they simply cannot physically stick so many zeppelins, they buy frozen ones, which is why they are the same everywhere you go. And in “Luiza” they make only enough to eat that day, when they sell out – they delete the dish. It’s really handmade,” says the hostess enthusiastically.

It’s true, I can’t verify her words, and although I’m not entirely sure that they are sold frozen everywhere else, and already in that cafe it’s like at my mother’s, but I’m tempted to go and find out.

Inexpensive lunch, but

At “Luiza” the daily lunch costs 5.5 euros, which is probably the lowest price we have found in the resort.

I’m inviting my teenage son to taste lunch with me, who knows, and he will definitely tell me if it doesn’t taste good.

As soon as we cross the threshold, we are greeted by an empty hall, and the reason for this soon becomes clear.
