Major League Baseball (MLB) will host the 94th edition of the All-Star Game on July 16 at 8:00 pm (Venezuela time). This time, the mid-season classic will be played at Globe Life Field (in Arlington), which is the home of the Texas Rangers.
A total of 6 Venezuelans were called up to the 2024 All-Star Game: José Altuve (starter), Salvador Pérez, Luis Arráez, Robert Suárez, Ranger Suárez and William Contreras (starter).
Second baseman Jose Altuve has a .309 batting average with 13 home runs and 41 RBIs this season with the Houston Astros. This will be Altuve’s ninth appearance in the midseason classic.
For his part, receiver Salvador Pérez has a average 279, with 15 home runs and 57 RBIs for the Kansas City Royals. Luis Arráez, who will participate in his third All-Star Game, maintains a batting average of .309, with two home runs and 23 RBIs.
