With the declared goal of improving everyday life, the government staff is proceeding with measures and interventions focusing on the fight once morest punctuality and on strengthening the disposable income of citizens.
The Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, has already given his stamp of close monitoring of the changes, proclaiming in all tones that “the trust of the Greek people forces us to run faster”.
Two months from the political milestone of the International Exhibition of Thessaloniki, the government is called to win the bet of everyday life and puts forwards in its agenda.
On the priorities of the next months:
-Accuracy handling / price reduction on the shelf.
-Strengthening vulnerable population groups.
-Further reduction in unemployment.
-Reforms in Health.
-Improving state functions / Speeding up appointments.
-Increasing disposable income.
– Infrastructure projects in the region.
The upgrading of the NHS
Mr. Mitsotakis has already set a mark of close monitoring of the changes that must… run in the field of public health. One of the pillars that “unlock” the goal of improving citizens’ lives.
The strategy of Maximus and the Ministry of Health includes:
-Reorganization of duty stations.
-Waiting lists for surgeries.
-Strengthening of human resources / Recruitment.
-Control of pharmaceutical expenditure.
-Supporting health structures in remote / mountainous / island areas.
-Improvement of ECAB.
The role of ASEP
The implementation of the digital job card in all sectors of the economy, as well as the steps that will synchronize the ASEP with the digitization of the rest of the state, in order to…run more quickly the recruitments in the State are two more priorities.
The central design includes:
-Development of interoperability / Direct extraction of supporting documents.
-Strengthening locality.
-Faster position replenishment mechanism.
-Validity check of qualifications at the application stage.
At the NATO summit
The prime minister is leaving for Washington at the beginning of the week, in order to attend the work of the NATO Summit, which coincides with the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Alliance.
On Wednesday night, Mr. Mitsotakis will be at the White House and at the dinner hosted by the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, in honor of the leaders.
At the same time, his program includes:
-Meetings with members of Congress.
-Discussion with the former US ambassador in Athens, Daniel Speckhardt (Council on Foreign Relations).
-Discussion with the former US Deputy National Security Advisor, Nadia Sandlow (NATO Public Forum).
The Prime Minister will also be in New York, in order to meet the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres. At the center of the meeting will be Greece’s assumption of the position of a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and the Cyprus issue.
